OUR STORY
Vewi Arlinda and Gordon Andersen are the team behind CBR Bali. Vewi originates from Bogor, West of Java and has lived in Bali a number of years along with her three daughters. Headstrong, independent and with excellent english, Vewi founded and manages CBR Bali. Gordon, an expat from Sydney (but really a Kiwi) was visiting Bali for first time Feb 2020, days before the gates closed with Covid-19 and has been ‘stuck’ in Bali ever since.
Stuck might be the wrong word as Vewi was one of the very first people Gordon met in Bali – he hired a Honda PCX from Vewi and the rest is history, as they say. Vewi delivered the bike to his hotel and gave him the keys – not just to the bike!
They both fell for each other immediately and now share business and family life together. In November of 2022 Vewi and Gordon travelled to New Zealand to get married.
2020, in the wake of Covid, Vewi and Gordon set up a free food kitchen at their Villa – Aquarius Social Centre, cooking and serving to hundreds of people every day for months until exhaustion forced the closure of this kitchen.
Both are mad keen on all things motorbikes, including Moto GP – Vewi used to follow retired Moto GP ‘boyfriend’ Yamahas legendary VR46 whereas Gordon valiantly follows Aussie Moto GP star Jack Miller on his KTM.
Gordon has extensive history in motorbikes, learning to ride at 12 and never really stopping, like the rest of his family. This knowledge has assisted CBR Bali to confidently expand with a well maintained inventory of bikes and cars.
Vewi and Gordon believe they have a winning combination with a mix of local Indonesian and Kiwi ‘can do’ influences. This helps CBR Bali understand customer requirements so they can experience a more pleasant time whilst in Bali.
Both Vewi and Gordon are very approachable and can be contacted anytime through WhatsApp.
